The Kansas City Spartans Women's Football Team formed in the summer of 2009, under the direction of Leonard "Coco" Bulock as the head coach. We partcipate in the WFA(Women's Football Alliance) League, competitively playing against other full tackle women teams across the nation. We are based in Kansas City, Missouri but have players, staff, and supporters from all across Missouri and Kansas.
The Kansas City Spartans look forward to competing against teams within the American Conference and further beyond through the 2012 season.
LADY SPARTANS MISSION
Our mission is to provide female athletes an opportunity regardless of race, religion, sexual orientation, or creed a foundation to perform at a semi-professional level across the nation. We want our athletes to enjoy living a new healthy lifestyle, learn positive discipline, sound football techniques, and teamwork skills to promote through the community and on the field. The Kansas City Spartans will maintain a strong financial and community base of support by providing an inspirational form of quality entertainment and positive public identity to Kansas City and surrounding areas. Within the next few years, our goal is to increase our presence throughout the community and also on the field by hosting high-spirited games for fans to enjoy. We seek to develop strong lasting relationships within the organization as well as community and uplift self-esteem and confidence through well-developed weight training, classroom sessions, and in-depth practices. We want every member with the Kansas City Spartans organization to develop and embrace a sense of pride and leadership to share with their loved ones and others' in the community through public services, fundraising, and sponsorship opportunities.
